The Holiday season brings all your loved ones together, and what’s better than some friendly competition at Christmas? I’ve listed some of my favorite Holiday games to play and let’s just say it can get a little competitive…
-
Minute to Win it!
Style #1: Individuals – Man vs. Clock. In this version, one player will be trying to beat the clock for each game. So for instance, they will have to try and complete the game within a minute (hence the minute to win it name). If they do, they win a prize.
Style #2: Groups – You’ll pick two players for each game who will going head to head against each other playing a game rather than trying to beat the clock.
Style #3: Teams – In this style, you’ll split your group into two (or 3 or 10 depending on the number of guests) teams. For each game, teams must choose one player from each team to compete head to head in the game with the other teams.

Minute to Win It Head-to-Head Games!
#1: Marshmallow Munch – Eat an entire bowl of mini marshmallows and drink a cup of hot chocolate in a minute / the allotted time / fastest player wins.
What you need: mini marshmallows, hot chocolate, and small cups.#2: Candy-cane Catch – Tie a piece of ribbon or twine from one post or chair to another. Players must stand on top of the chairs and try to be the first to drop a candy cane from the chair onto the ribbon and get it to stay there.
What you need: christmas tinsel, chairs, and candy canes.#3: Snowman Shake – Decorate white ping pong balls to look like snowman faces. Fill an empty tissue box with the snowmen ping pong balls and tape the tissue box (or use a velcro belt glued to the box) to someone’s backside. Player then has to shake all of the snowmen out of the tissue box before the time runs out! Or if you’d rather not decorate like snowmen, use ornaments instead.
What you need: white ping pong balls, tissue boxes, duct tape, and panty hose.#4: North Pole Pop – Player have to pop 10 balloons using just their hands with winter gloves on before the time runs out.
What you need: balloons and winter gloves.#5: Snowball Bash – Cotton balls are like snow balls. You put them in a bowl. You have to transfer the cotton balls with a spoon from the full bowl to the empty bowl blindfolded. Whoever gets the most transferred in a minute wins.
What you need: cotton balls, spoon, and bowl.
#6: Jingle Bell Jam – (Before the party, fill five boxes with different amounts of jingle bells then wrap like holiday presents.) Player has to shake wrapped presents filled with jingle bells to determine how many jingle bells are in each, putting them in order of the most jingle bells to the least. *This holiday game can be changed up for any season just using different items inside the box!
What you need: gift boxes, jingle bells, and holiday wrapping paper.#7: Wrap it to Win It – One handed gift wrapping challenge. Would you make it as one of Santa’s elves? Challenge your guests to wrap gifts (or just empty boxes) with only one hand. Up the ante by setting a timer, or try to inspire some teamwork by pairing up players!
